Engineering management

Design documentation is developed in strict compliance with norms, standards and other regulation documents in force on the territory in Russian Federation. 

Design documentation is developed with PC licensed software. Text documents are developed with MS Office. For easy calculations Excel with self-developed modules is used. For piping strength verification finite-element complexes (for example СPipe, AutoPIPE, ANSYS) or “Start” software are used. Foundations and basements of buildings and facilities are calculated with “Base” software, for structural analysis “Lira” software is used. 

Drawings are developed mainly with AutoCAD series software with self-developed modules and tools which simplify and advance the process of documentation development. Besides, some sections are developed with specialized software. 

During the project realization, starting from the stage of source data collection and analysis, GIS technologies are applied in order to classify spatial data and create the required databases. They are demanded by Designers and Clients on the stage of the design development and may be required by customers in future – not only on the construction stage, but also on the stage of the object operation, and may be integrated to the Client’s corporate GIS. 

The Company Design Department includes a strength calculations team. The team performs design and verification calculations for pipelines, piping, pig launchers and receivers, and various steel structures as well.

The engineers’ background includes strength calculations completed for such major projects as Sakhalin-1, Vankor Field Development Project, etc.

Specifically, a simulation model of the buried pipeline, crossing the Central-Sakhalin and Garomay active tectonic faults has been developed by the team for Sakhalin-1 Project. While working at Vankor Project, the team has produced overground in-field and trunk pipeline calculations.

Strength calculations team uses CPIPE, СТАРТ, AutoPIPE and CEASAR II software for pipelines and piping calculations. The software choice depends on the Project specifics and requirements. The finite-element complex, ANSYS, is used for the modeling of the pipeline operation at hazardous geological areas (active tectonic faults, land slides).

Quality management system in Design works is certified in accordance with the requirements of standard ISO 9001:2015.
